Job Overview
The Children Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Finglas is seeking a highly motivated Senior Dietitian to join its multidisciplinary team on a permanent wholetime basis. This Senior Dietitian Dublin opportunity offers the chance to work with children and families delivering specialist nutritional assessment and intervention within community disability services.
You will play a key leadership role in supporting children with complex needs, contributing to integrated care planning and service development within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced dietetic assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with complex disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans in collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver evidence-based practice in line with national policies and professional standards.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior dietetic staff and students.
- Participate in service planning, quality improvement initiatives and audit activities.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with HSE policies and data protection requirements.
- Contribute to health promotion and educational programmes for families and carers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Dietetics recognised by CORU.
- Registration with CORU as a Dietitian (or eligibility for registration).
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience, including paediatric and disability services.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €64,551 – €76,007 per annum (9-point scale).
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime.

Location & Employer Information
This position is based at Finglas CDNT, Ashgrove House, Kempton Estate, Navan Road, Dublin 7, within HSE Dublin and North East. The Children Disability Network Team provides interdisciplinary services to children and young people with complex disabilities across North Dublin and surrounding counties.
This role forms part of the public health service under the Health Service Executive, offering a collaborative working environment focused on child-centred, family-focused care.
