Job Overview
The HSE Dublin and North East is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist CAMHS Louth to join Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in County Louth. This permanent wholetime opportunity offers the chance to work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
This role provides a meaningful opportunity to deliver specialist occupational therapy interventions within CAMHS while contributing to service development across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to children and adolescents within CAMHS.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
- Support children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
- Engage with families, carers, schools, and relevant agencies to support holistic care planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards and professional guidelines.
- Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students where appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Occupational Therapy recognised by CORU.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
- Significant post-qualification experience, including experience working in CAMHS or a similar setting.
- Experience supporting children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and case management skills.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
- Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role.

- Salary aligned with the HSE Senior Occupational Therapist (Grade 3301) scale in accordance with February 2026 public sector pay adjustments.

Location & Employer Information
