Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist – Medical Rehabilitation at University Hospital Limerick to join the HSE Mid West Acute Services team. This permanent, whole-time role is ideal for an experienced physiotherapist seeking to advance their clinical leadership career within a dynamic acute hospital environment.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services while supporting junior staff and contributing to service development across the HSE Mid West region.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver advanced physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients within medical rehabilitation services
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior physiotherapy staff and students
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient-centred care
• Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and audit activities
• Participate in rota-based service delivery across acute services as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards
• Support evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
• Registration with CORU as a Physiotherapist
• Significant post-qualification clinical experience, including rehabilitation services
• Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and team leadership
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
