Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Radiographer (MRI) at Wexford General Hospital. This senior role focuses on delivering a high-quality, patient-centred MRI and radiographic service while supporting the daily operational management of the department. It is ideally suited to an experienced radiographer seeking clinical leadership within a progressive acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a high-quality, patient-focused MRI service in line with best practice
• Perform MRI, General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT and specialised imaging examinations
• Ensure imaging procedures meet departmental protocols and technical quality standards
• Support the daily operational management of the Radiology and MRI service
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, MRI safety, and HSE policies
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior radiography staff and students
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
Required Skills & Qualifications
• BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent qualification
• Registration with CORU as a Radiographer
• Demonstrable post-qualification experience, including MRI
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols
• Excellent patient care, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a senior radiography team
• Experience in CT and Fluoroscopy is desirable

• Salary in line with HSE Senior Radiographer (Grade 3107) pay scales
