Job Overview
Kare Ireland is seeking a highly motivated Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join its dedicated multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in Co. Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role while delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a key role in enhancing communication outcomes and promoting inclusion for service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy assessments and interventions
- Lead and support therapy planning for individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and students where appropriate
- Develop and implement communication support plans
- Engage with families and caregivers to support therapy goals
- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register)
- Minimum relevant clinical experience, ideally in intellectual disability services
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to person-centred care and inclusion
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €64,551 – €76,007 (based on experience and point on scale)
Permanent wholetime position with structured working hours
