Cheshire Ireland is seeking a dedicated Social Care Worker to join its Blackrock services, supporting adults with disabilities to live self-directed, meaningful, and independent lives. This permanent, whole-time role focuses on rights-based practice, person-centred supports, and collaborative teamwork within a respected Section 39 organisation.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Promote independence, inclusion, and self-directed living for service users
• Develop, implement, and review person-centred care and support plans
• Deliver high-quality daily living supports in line with individual needs
• Advocate for service users’ rights, preferences, and goals
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community partners
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory standards
• Support safeguarding, risk management, and quality improvement activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant Social Care qualification (e.g., Social Care, Applied Social Studies)
• Experience working in disability or community-based social care settings
• Strong understanding of person-centred and rights-based practice
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to service users’ changing needs
• Full commitment to safeguarding and regulatory compliance
