An excellent opportunity has arisen for Social Care Workers in Disability Services to join Brothers of Charity Services Ireland in Galway City. These permanent and temporary roles involve supporting children and adults with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful, inclusive lives within their communities.
This Social Care Worker role in Galway City is ideal for compassionate professionals seeking long-term career progression within a respected Section 38 organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion
• Implement individual care plans in line with best practice
• Support daily living activities, education, and community participation
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and organisational policies
• Participate in continuous professional development and training
Required Skills & Qualifications
• QQI Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or equivalent
• Experience working in disability or social care settings (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster if required
• Full clean driving licence (desirable)
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary: In line with Department of Health Consolidated Pay Scales (Social Care Worker Grade 3029)
• Contract: Permanent Wholetime & Temporary Full-Time
