Job Overview
WALK Company Limited by Guarantee is seeking a dedicated Social Care Worker to join its Supported Living Services across Dublin and Kildare. This role offers the opportunity to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and older persons to live independently and meaningfully within their communities. You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals in line with their individual support plans
- Promote independence, inclusion, and community participation
- Work collaboratively with families, support teams, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Assist individuals in developing socially valued roles and community connections
- Ensure a safe, person-centred, and effective service delivery
- Contribute to maintaining HIQA compliance and quality standards
- Support the Team Leader/Coordinator in service development and delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications
- CORU registration (or proof of application submitted) is essential
- Relevant qualification in Social Care or related field
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or older persons (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to person-centred approaches and social inclusion
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €40,851 – €57,217 (including LSI), commensurate with experience. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (1-year contract). Benefits may include annual leave entitlements, training opportunities, and participation in a supportive team environment.
