Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic Children’s Disability Network Team in Galway City. Working in a supportive multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people. This temporary full-time role offers valuable experience within a well-established publicly funded service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for children with communication and swallowing difficulties
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans
- Support families and caregivers with guidance and training
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with children or disability services is desirable
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €45,063 – €64,424 (LSI applicable)
Working Hours: Full-time (Wholetime), temporary specified purpose contract
