This Speech and Language Therapist Manager role offers a senior leadership opportunity within primary care services in Sligo. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage speech and language therapy services across the designated region
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee service planning, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supervise and support staff, ensuring high standards of clinical practice
- Drive innovation and implement service enhancements
- Ensure compliance with national policies, standards, and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve patient care pathways
- Manage resources effectively to meet service demands
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with the appropriate professional body (CORU)
- Significant experience in speech and language therapy service provision
- Proven management experience including staff supervision and service development
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement change and drive service improvements
- Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale ranges from €90,076 to €99,140 per annum, depending on experience and point on the scale. The role is available on a range of contract types including permanent and specified purpose, part-time or full-time. Location & Employer Information
This role is based in Markievicz House, Sligo, within the HSE West and North West region, covering areas including Sligo, Mayo, Donegal, and Cavan. The service operates within a community-based primary care setting, focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centred therapy services.
