Job Overview
The Staff Bank Dietitian Wexford panel offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality dietetic services at Wexford General Hospital. This “if and when” contract allows qualified Dietitians to join a flexible staff bank, supporting service delivery across clinical areas as required.
This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is ideal for professionals seeking adaptable working arrangements within a busy acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based dietetic assessment, intervention and evaluation for patients across designated clinical areas.
- Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans in line with best practice guidelines.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver nutrition education and advice to patients, families and healthcare staff.
- Participate in service planning and continuous professional development.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards and governance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification in Dietetics recognised by CORU.
- Registration with CORU as a Dietitian (or eligibility for registration).
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in the delivery of dietetic services relevant to the role.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

- Salary aligned with HSE Dietitian Grade 3389 pay scale (Health & Social Care Professional Grades), in accordance with national public sector pay agreements.

Location & Employer Information
This role is based at Wexford General Hospital / Ospidéal Ginearálta Loch Garman, County Wexford, within HSE Dublin and South East. The hospital provides a wide range of acute services to the local and regional population.
