Job Overview
The Staff Grade Cardiac Physiologist Drogheda position offers an exciting opportunity to join the cardiac diagnostics team at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. This permanent wholetime role focuses on delivering a high-quality cardiac diagnostic service in an efficient and patient-centred environment.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in cardiovascular care, contributing to both current service delivery and future service development within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- • Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures to a high professional standard
- • Operate and maintain specialised cardiac diagnostic equipment
- • Analyse and interpret diagnostic data in accordance with clinical protocols
- • Assist in invasive cardiac investigations where required
- • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of diagnostic findings
- • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards
- • Participate in service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- • Support training and mentorship of junior staff where appropriate
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Relevant qualification in Cardiac Physiology or Clinical Measurement Physiology
- • Eligibility for registration with CORU where applicable
- • Demonstrated experience in cardiac diagnostics
- • Strong analytical and clinical decision-making skills
- • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- • Excellent communication and organisational skills
- • Commitment to ongoing professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
The salary scale for this Staff Grade Cardiac Physiologist Drogheda role ranges from €44,776 to €66,048, including applicable Long Service Increments (LSIs), in line with public sector pay scales.
This is a permanent wholetime position offering job security, structured career progression, public sector pension benefits, and annual leave entitlements in accordance with HSE policies.
