An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. This permanent role offers the chance to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary hospital environment delivering high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy services across acute, outpatient and rehabilitation settings.

This campaign will also form a panel for current and future vacancies (full-time or part-time) across Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and Louth County Hospital, Dundalk, with posts rotating across both sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy service within designated clinical areas
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in service development, audits and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide education and support to patients, families and carers
• Undertake clinical and educational duties as directed by the Senior Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapy Manager
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HSE standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register)
• Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to continuous professional development

• Salary in line with HSE Occupational Therapist Grade 3298 pay scales (public sector rates effective from 1 August 2025)

The Occupational Therapy Department provides services across a wide range of specialties including Medical, Respiratory, Neurology, Care of the Elderly, Frailty, Orthopaedics, Stroke, Rehabilitation, Surgical, Critical Care, Trauma, Hand Therapy and Early Supported Discharge services.
This role is with the Health Service Executive (HSE), Ireland’s national public health service provider.
