Job Overview

University Hospital Kerry is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse General to join the Kells Gynaecology Ward. This permanent wholetime opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic acute hospital setting within HSE South West. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients within the Kells Gynaecology Ward.
  • • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
  • • Maintain accurate patient records in line with hospital and HSE standards.
  • • Work collaboratively with medical, midwifery and allied health professionals.
  • • Promote patient safety, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
  • • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
  • • Support junior staff and student nurses as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • • Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • • Eligible to work in Ireland.
  • • Demonstrated clinical competence in an acute hospital setting.
  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • • Commitment to continuing professional development.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale (Staff Nurse – General 2135):

  • • €37,788 – €56,032 per annum (LSI applicable).
