The Staff Nurse Graduate 2026 position at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda & Louth County Hospital offers newly qualified nurses the opportunity to begin their professional career in a dynamic acute hospital environment. This permanent wholetime post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants who will successfully complete their BSc (Honours) Degree in General Nursing in September 2026.
This Staff Nurse Graduate 2026 role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across HSE Dublin and North East.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Provide holistic, person-centred care promoting optimum independence for service users.
- Work within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- Support a safe clinical environment in line with national healthcare standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Successful completion of BSc (Honours) Degree in General Nursing in September 2026.
- Eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) following qualification.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of patient-centred care.
- Demonstrated understanding of professional nursing ethics and standards.
