Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to ophthalmology patients
• Support pre-operative and post-operative ophthalmic procedures
• Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Promote infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Provide patient education and reassurance throughout care pathways
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register (General Division)
• Experience or interest in ophthalmology nursing is desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
