Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join its team in Ennis, Co. Clare. This permanent part-time role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred environment. Open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants, this is a rewarding opportunity within a respected Section 38 organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities and community inclusion
• Promote independence, dignity and individual choice
• Implement person-centred plans and maintain accurate care records
• Support social, recreational and therapeutic activities
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in disability or social care settings (desirable)
• A relevant QQI Level 5 qualification or equivalent (preferred)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Commitment to person-centred care and positive support approaches
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
• Flexibility to work part-time hours as rostered

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Contract type: Permanent part-time
Grade: Care Assistant (Disability Services)
• Salary aligned to HSE Patient & Client Care pay scales (Section 38)
• Additional benefits consistent with publicly funded organisations
• Rostered hours including potential evenings/weekends

This role is based in Ennis, Co. Clare, within Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, a national organisation providing high-quality supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The service is part of the HSE Mid West health region and operates under Section 38 arrangements.
