Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join its Ennis-based disability services team. This permanent part-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives. Open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults within disability services
• Support individuals with daily living activities, community engagement and personal development
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing
• Assist in implementing individual care plans and behaviour support strategies
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to organisational policies
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to a safe, supportive environment for service users

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in disability, social care or community support roles
• A relevant QQI Level 5 qualification (e.g., Healthcare Support, Disability Studies) is highly desirable
• Strong communication, empathy and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans and safeguarding procedures
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential evenings or weekends
• Commitment to rights-based, person-centred care

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• Grade: Care Assistant (Disability Services) – Code 6482
• Salary aligned to Section 38 / public sector norms (HSE Mid West region)
• Permanent part-time contract

Location & Employer Information

This role is based in Ennis, County Clare, within the HSE Mid West health region.
