Job Overview
Corlann (BOCSI) is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join its Disability Services team in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities by supporting independence, dignity, and inclusion within the community. Multiple permanent positions are available, including full-time and part-time roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
- Assist service users with daily living activities and personal care
- Promote independence, social inclusion, and community participation
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and development plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all service users
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in healthcare, social care, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to person-centred care and safeguarding principles
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale ranges from €34,536 to €47,954 per annum (pro-rata for part-time roles), aligned with Care Assistant (Disability Services) Grade 6482.
Permanent Wholetime (Full-Time) and Part-Time positions available.
