Job Overview

The Health Service Executive is seeking a System Support Officer (Grade VI) to join its team in Ardee, Co. Louth. This permanent wholetime opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in supporting ICT systems and operational services within a dynamic healthcare environment.

This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and involves working a 5/7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide system and ICT support across designated services and departments.
  • Assist with system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Support users with technical queries and system-related issues.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with HSE policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise system performance.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and reporting processes.
  • Participate in rostered duties across a 5/7 working schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification in ICT, information systems, business systems, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in system support or ICT environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within structured governance or public sector frameworks is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively within a rostered environment.
