Job Overview
The Team Leader Support Services Offaly role offers an excellent opportunity to join Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore as part of the HSE Dublin and Midlands region. This permanent wholetime position plays a key leadership role in ensuring high standards across catering and support services within a busy acute hospital environment.
You will lead and coordinate support service teams while ensuring compliance with HACCP standards, Infection Prevention and Control requirements, and hospital operational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of support services staff within the hospital.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP food safety standards in an acute hospital setting.
- Maintain strict adherence to Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate catering operations and ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Liaise professionally with hospital management and internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor staff performance and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation of hospital policies and operational procedures.
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and efficient working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience working in a busy hospital environment.
- Proven ability to interact professionally with management and key stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of HACCP systems.
- Working knowledge of catering services within an acute hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of Infection Prevention and Control requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
