The Health Service Executive is seeking an experienced Grade V ICT Technology Officer to join its Technology & Transformation team. This permanent role supports critical national health services through the design, deployment, and operation of enterprise ICT solutions across acute and community environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and support ICT infrastructure and enterprise solutions
• Contribute to network, cloud, data centre, and end-user technology services
• Support regional and national service operations, including acute and community settings
• Engage with internal ICT teams, service providers, and third-party vendors
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and escalate where required
• Carry out site assessments and technology deployments
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and end-users
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary ICT teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas:
Core Technical Domains
• Networks (LAN/WAN, routing, protocols, WLAN, perimeter security)
• Enterprise & Unified Communications (telephony, collaboration platforms)
• Technology Deployment (Active Directory, VMware, Citrix, storage, databases, data centres)
• Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, Oracle, IBM)
• Emergency, Regional, or Covid Operations ICT support
End User Technology
• Installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and applications
• Strong understanding of desktop components and peripherals
• Fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and vendor liaison
• Customer-focused service delivery and stakeholder engagement
Other Requirements
• Proven experience working effectively as part of a team
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE Grade V (0566) consolidated salary scale, as approved under public sector pay agreements
• Benefits: Public service pension, annual leave entitlement, paid sick leave, and access to training and development
• Hours: Full-time, in accordance with HSE terms and conditions
