Role Overview
The Grade VI HR/SAP Officer will provide senior administrative and operational support across human resources and SAP functions within the Donegal Integrated Health Area. Working as part of the wider HSE West and North West HR structure — which spans Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo, and Galway — this role carries a significant level of responsibility in supporting workforce management, HR systems, and service delivery across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Specific duties will be outlined in the full job specification. In general, a Grade VI HR/SAP Officer in the HSE would be expected to:
- Provide senior-level administrative support across HR and SAP functions for the Donegal IHA.
- Manage and maintain accurate employee records within the HSE SAP HR system.
- Support payroll processing, workforce planning, and HR reporting activities.
- Liaise with line managers, HR colleagues, and regional stakeholders on staffing and employment matters.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, employment legislation, and relevant WRC agreements.
- Contribute to process improvement and the ongoing development of HR systems and procedures.
- Supervise and support junior administrative staff where applicable.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements set out in the full campaign documentation. Candidates would typically be expected to demonstrate:
- Proven experience at Grade V level (or equivalent) within the HSE or a comparable health sector organisation.

Salary and Contract
This is a permanent, whole-time post.
Salary: €57,898 – €68,372 per annum (HSE Grade VI Clerical scale, 6-point scale, plus one long-service increment of €70,734), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 February 2026. Placement on the scale will be in accordance with HSE pay policy.
