Grade VII Quality & Patient Safety Coordinator – Dublin South

This is a senior Grade VII opportunity to support and strengthen quality, risk, and patient safety governance across Dublin South. The role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement in patient safety and experience across a complex regional health system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support implementation of regional Quality, Risk and Patient Safety strategies
• Monitor and improve compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate incident and risk management processes across services
• Analyse trends from incidents, risks, audits, and reviews to inform improvement actions
• Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and corporate stakeholders
• Support patient experience, engagement, and service user involvement initiatives
• Prepare reports, briefings, and assurance documentation for senior management
• Contribute to governance structures and quality improvement programmes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience implementing quality and patient safety frameworks
• Proven knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in healthcare quality and safety
• Experience in incident management and risk management systems
• Strong stakeholder management skills across internal and external partners
• Evidence of collaborative working in complex organisational environments
• Experience engaging with patient and service user representative groups
• Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills
• Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent professional experience
