About the Role
Mayo Community Living offers exciting career opportunities within its Intellectual Disability Services, focused on providing safe, inclusive, and empowering support to residents throughout County Mayo.
We are recruiting across multiple levels — from entry-level care positions to clinical and leadership roles.

These positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, and who value teamwork, inclusion, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and promote independence in line with HIQA standards.
- Support residents in daily living, health, and wellbeing activities.
- Develop and implement individual care and support plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance quality of life for service users.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant qualification in Nursing, Social Care, or Healthcare Support.
- Current registration with NMBI (for nursing grades).
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Previous experience in community-based or residential disability services.
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and safeguarding policies.
What We Offer
- Competitive HSE-aligned pay scales (effective March 2025):
- Staff Nurse (Intellectual Disability): €36,919 – €54,928
- Clinical Nurse Manager / Team Leader: €56,081 – €66,045
- Social Care Worker: €36,000 – €52,000
- Care Assistant: €30,000 – €43,000
