Job Overview
Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park University Hospital are offering permanent Staff Nurse Theatre positions within modern, high-volume surgical environments. These hospitals are part of Ireland’s national public healthcare system and provide structured support for internationally educated nurses transitioning to practice in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care across surgical specialties
• Support patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively
• Maintain theatre safety, sterility, and infection control standards
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in clinical audits, training, and professional development

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Nursing qualification recognised or eligible for recognition by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Theatre / OT / perioperative nursing experience preferred

• English language proficiency (as per NMBI requirements)
