University Hospital Kerry is seeking a Medical Scientist (Basic Grade) to join its diagnostic laboratory services. This permanent, whole-time role supports high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory testing and adherence to national standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic laboratory tests in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Ensure accuracy, quality control, and timely reporting of results
• Maintain laboratory equipment and comply with health and safety requirements
• Participate in quality assurance and audit activities
• Work collaboratively with laboratory and clinical teams
• Adhere to HSE and hospital policies and professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility for CORU registration as a Medical Scientist
• Relevant recognised qualification in Medical Science
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and accreditation standards
