University Hospital Waterford is recruiting a Medical Secretary – Grade IV through an internal supplementary campaign. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative support
  • Manage correspondence, reports, and confidential patient documentation
  • Coordinate appointments, clinics, and patient records
  • Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems
  • Ensure compliance with HSE data protection and governance standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Eligibility restricted to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies (per WRC Agreement 161867)
  • Previous medical secretarial or senior administrative experience
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Experience working in a healthcare or hospital setting is desirable
