The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Nurse Tutor (Grade Code 2580) for the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Education (CNME) Mayo/Roscommon. Reference: NRS15458. This is an open competition — applications are welcome from both HSE and non-HSE candidates.
Role Overview
There is currently one permanent wholetime vacancy available in the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Education Mayo/Roscommon. A panel may be created for the CNME Mayo/Roscommon from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full-time or part-time duration may be filled.
Key Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities for a Nurse Tutor within a Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Education include: planning, delivering and evaluating education and training programmes for nursing and midwifery staff; contributing to curriculum design and continuing professional development initiatives; supporting clinical staff in evidence-based practice; assessing learners and maintaining education records; and collaborating with higher education institutions and clinical sites across the region. Requirements
Candidates are typically required to be registered (or eligible for registration) in the Nurse Tutor division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), hold an appropriate post-registration qualification in nursing/midwifery education, and have relevant clinical and teaching experience. Salary
The salary scale for Nurse Tutor (Grade Code 2580) is €73,793 – €82,809 per annum (10-point incremental scale), as per the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026 (DoH Circular 2/2026). Part-time posts filled from the panel will be paid pro-rata.
