BAYADA Home Health Care is recruiting Paediatric Community Nurses in Sligo to deliver expert, one-to-one care for children with complex needs in the comfort of their own homes. About the Role
As a Paediatric Community Nurse with BAYADA, you will provide compassionate, clinically excellent care to children with complex health needs in their home environment across the Sligo area. Working on a one-to-one basis, you will be the consistent, trusted clinical presence that makes a genuine difference to a child and their family every single day.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with shift patterns including 7 × 8-hour nights and 3 × 8-hour days, offering genuine flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate one-to-one nursing care to children with complex needs in their own homes
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in line with clinical best practice
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with NMBI standards
- Liaise with families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Respond appropriately to changes in a child’s condition and escalate concerns as required
- Participate in paid shadow shifts as part of a structured induction process
Requirements
- Current NMBI registration — RCN, RGN, or RNID accepted
- Minimum 1 year of acute paediatric or relevant clinical experience
- Up-to-date mandatory training in line with NMBI requirements
- Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland without sponsorship
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, consistent, one-to-one care
Salary
€23.42 – €58.08 per hour, depending on shift type and experience. Premium rates apply for weekend and bank holiday working.

Location
This is an in-person, community-based role covering Sligo town and the surrounding County Sligo area. You will work directly in clients’ homes, providing care within a well-established BAYADA community nursing network supported by experienced clinical managers and round-the-clock on-call assistance.
Contract Type
Permanent — full-time and part-time positions available. 8-hour shifts with weekend availability required.
