An exciting internal opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Officer (Grade VI) at University Hospital Waterford. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality recruitment services that support clinical and operational excellence across the hospital.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior managers and HR colleagues to ensure timely, compliant, and effective recruitment outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes in line with HSE policies and national guidelines
• Provide expert advice to hiring managers on recruitment and selection procedures
• Coordinate campaigns, shortlisting, interviews, and offers of employment
• Ensure compliance with public sector recruitment standards and governance
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting data
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives within HR and recruitment
• Liaise with regional and national stakeholders as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility limited to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies (WRC Agreement 161867)
• Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience in HR or recruitment
• Demonstrated experience managing recruitment processes in a complex organisation
• Strong knowledge of public sector recruitment practices
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• High level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE Grade VI consolidated pay scales (Department of Health Circulars apply)
• Working Hours: Whole-time, permanent contract
