An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registrar in Colorectal Surgery to join the surgical team at University Hospital Limerick as part of the July 2026 NCHD national rotation. This role offers advanced specialty exposure within a busy tertiary hospital environment, supporting both elective and emergency colorectal services.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality clinical care in colorectal surgery under consultant supervision
• Participate in elective and emergency surgical services, including on-call rotas
• Assist in operative procedures and peri-operative patient management
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical audits
• Support junior doctors and medical students where required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HSE policies
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) – IMC number must be clearly stated
• Proven experience in colorectal surgery at registrar level
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Membership examinations (desirable)
• OET/IELTS certification where applicable
• Availability to commence duty on 13 July 2026 in line with national rotation
