An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registrar in Emergency Medicine to join the Emergency Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. This is a fixed-term, wholetime post within the HSE Dublin and North East region, offering valuable experience in a busy acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute presentations in the Emergency Department
• Work collaboratively with consultants, NCHDs, nursing, and allied health professionals
• Participate in on-call and rostered emergency cover
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support the supervision and teaching of junior medical staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the Irish Medical Council (IMC) Register
• Eligibility to work as a Registrar in Emergency Medicine in Ireland
• Proven experience in emergency or acute medical settings
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Registrar (Grade 1538) consolidated pay scales
• Current scale (from 1 August 2025): €68,891 – €81,126 per annum, depending on point
• Fixed-term wholetime contract
