An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registrar in Emergency Medicine at Wexford General Hospital. This role forms part of the HSE Dublin and South East network, offering exposure to a busy emergency department with strong consultant support and structured clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and undifferentiated presentations
• Work collaboratively with consultants, NCHDs, nursing, and allied health professionals
• Participate in emergency department rotas, including out-of-hours cover
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge planning
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to teaching where required
• Comply with HSE clinical governance, patient safety, and infection control standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree in Medicine
• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• IELTS or OET certification (where applicable)
• Irish or UK postgraduate medical experience only
• Demonstrated competence in acute and emergency medicine settings
• Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Registrar – Emergency Medicine (Grade 1529) scale
• Current registrar salary range: €68,891 – €81,126 per annum (August 2025 scale)
• Specified Purpose Wholetime contract
