Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is seeking a Registrar in Respiratory Medicine to join its dynamic acute hospital team within the HSE Dublin and North East region. This fixed-term, whole-time post offers excellent clinical exposure in respiratory medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration, and strong consultant supervision within a modern teaching hospital environment.

This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and forms part of the July 2026 intake.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient respiratory care
• Participate in consultant-led ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings
• Manage acute respiratory presentations, including on-call duties
• Contribute to bronchoscopy services and respiratory diagnostics as appropriate
• Supervise and support junior medical staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge planning
• Engage in audit, teaching, and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the General Division of the Medical Council of Ireland
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate medical experience
• Prior experience in general medicine and/or respiratory medicine
• Eligibility to work in Ireland at time of appointment
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and teamwork
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Registrar – Medicine (1538)
• Salary Scale: €68,891 – €81,126 per annum (HSE consolidated scale effective 1 August 2025)
• Additional on-call and premium payments apply in line with HSE NCHD arrangements
• Fixed Term, Whole-Time contract
