Job Overview
Mayo Community Living has ongoing opportunities for Team Leaders (Social Care Leaders) within Disability Services across HSE West and North West Community Services. There is currently one temporary whole-time specified purpose vacancy available in Westport, Co. Mayo.
A supplementary panel may also be formed from this campaign for current and future permanent, specified purpose, full-time, and part-time Team Leader (Social Care Leader) vacancies across Galway, Mayo, and Roscommon.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary social care teams within disability services.
- Support individuals with disabilities to maximise independence, inclusion, and personal development.
- Ensure delivery of person-centred care in line with HSE standards and HIQA regulations.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for service users.
- Coordinate care planning, risk management, and service delivery activities.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and support to social care staff and team members.
- Maintain compliance with the Health Act 2007 and associated regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with disabilities in a social care or community setting.
- Proven leadership and team management experience relevant to Social Care Leader responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of HIQA standards and Health Act 2007 requirements.
- Relevant qualifications and/or additional training related to social care leadership.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead person-centred care approaches within community services.
- Commitment to safeguarding, advocacy, and service quality.
Salary, Benefits and Working Hours
Salary for this Team Leader Social Care Leader Mayo position will be aligned with HSE pay scales for Social Care Worker Leader Grade 3030. Competitive pay and public sector employment benefits apply.
