University Hospital Limerick is seeking a Senior House Officer in Colorectal Surgery for a fixed-term, whole-time contract as part of the July 2026 NCHD national rotation. This role offers hands-on experience in a high-volume surgical service within the HSE Mid West region.

Key Responsibilities
• Participate in the delivery of inpatient and outpatient colorectal surgical services
• Assist in theatre and peri-operative patient management
• Support consultants and registrars in clinical decision-making
• Contribute to on-call and rostered duties in line with NCHD requirements
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Engage in audit, teaching, and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Active Irish Medical Council (IMC) registration (number must be clearly stated)
• Relevant experience in colorectal or general surgery at SHO/Registrar level
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• OET/IELTS where applicable
• Membership examinations desirable
• Availability to commence duty on 13 July 2026

• Salary in line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales for Senior House Officer (Medical & Dental)
