An excellent opportunity is available for a Senior House Officer in Respiratory Medicine at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. This fixed-term, whole-time post offers hands-on experience within a dynamic respiratory and general medicine service in a major acute hospital serving Dublin North and the North East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient respiratory care under consultant supervision
• Participate in acute medical admissions and on-call rotas
• Support bronchoscopy, pleural procedures, and respiratory diagnostics as appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across medicine and allied health services
• Participate in audit, teaching, and continuous professional development
• Adhere to HSE clinical governance, safety, and infection control standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Medical degree recognised by the Irish Medical Council
• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council
• Previous SHO-level experience in medicine or respiratory medicine desirable
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland at the time of appointment

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary: Senior House Officer scale €54,203 – €74,133 per annum (1 August 2025 rates), point dependent
• Additional on-call and premium payments in line with HSE NCHD arrangements
Contract: Fixed Term, Whole-Time
• Access to public service pension scheme, paid annual leave, sick leave, and training supports
• Salary scales in accordance with Department of Health Consolidated Pay Scales
