Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join its services in Ennis, Co. Clare. This role supports adults with intellectual disabilities, focusing on meaningful daily living, independence, and participation in the community.
Table of Contents
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership within occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention
• Support service users with daily living, sensory needs, and community participation
• Contribute to individualised person-centred plans
• Offer clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students
• Work closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Maintain clear clinical records and reports
• Participate in service development and quality improvement
• Follow professional, ethical, and organisational standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential
• Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist
• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or complex needs
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
Desirable
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role
• Knowledge of community-based disability services
• Full driving licence
