Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join its Adult Speech and Language Therapy Services in Cork. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering meaningful clinical work within a multidisciplinary team supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
Table of Contents
This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is funded under a Section 38 arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for adults
• Develop and implement individualised communication and swallowing care plans
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with families/carers
• Support and supervise junior staff and students as required
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development
• Participate in service planning, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Minimum experience requirement appropriate to Senior SLT grade
• Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities (desirable)
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills

• Grade: Speech and Language Therapist – Senior (3379)
• Contract: Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: 35 hours per fortnight
• Salary: In line with approved Health Sector consolidated pay scales (Section 38)
