An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Medical Social Worker (CAMHS) to join the HSE Dublin and Midlands region. This permanent, whole-time role offers the chance to provide specialist social work services within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), supporting children, young people, and families with complex mental health needs across a broad geographic area.

This is a senior, clinically focused position with scope for leadership, professional development, and meaningful impact within multidisciplinary mental health teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, specialist social work interventions within CAMHS
• Undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments of children, adolescents, and families
• Provide therapeutic interventions, crisis support, and care planning
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary CAMHS teams
• Contribute to safeguarding, child protection, and risk management processes
• Provide professional guidance and supervision where required
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with HSE policies and procedures
• Participate in service development, audit, and continuous quality improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Qualification in Social Work recognised by CORU
• Current registration with CORU as a Social Worker
• Significant post-qualification experience, including relevant CAMHS or mental health experience
• Demonstrated competence in assessment, intervention, and case management
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and mental health policy
• Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary: In line with HSE Senior Medical Social Worker (Grade 3019) payscale
