Bantry General Hospital is seeking an experienced Social Worker Team Leader to provide professional leadership across hospital social work services and safeguarding functions. This permanent, whole-time role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary practice while ensuring high-quality, person-centred care within an acute hospital setting.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for governance, supervision, and service development across Bantry General Hospital and associated safeguarding services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and line management to social work staff
• Ensure delivery of high-quality social work services within the hospital setting
• Lead and support safeguarding and protection processes in line with national policy
• Promote best practice, clinical governance, and continuous quality improvement
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and interagency partners
• Manage caseload allocation, supervision, and performance management
• Contribute to service planning, audit, and policy implementation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CORU registration as a Social Worker is mandatory
• Recognised qualification in Social Work
• Minimum required post-qualification experience at senior practitioner level
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and policy
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
