HSE Mid West is seeking an experienced Social Worker Team Leader to provide leadership within Disability Services for children and adults across Limerick, Clare and Tipperary North. This senior role offers the opportunity to shape high-quality, person-centred services for individuals with disabilities and complex needs.
Table of Contents
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure statutory and policy compliance, and support best practice in safeguarding, assessment and care planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional leadership and line management to social work staff within Disability Services
• Oversee assessment, care planning and intervention for children and adults with disabilities
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, Children First and safeguarding legislation
• Manage complex cases and provide expert guidance on risk and decision-making
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and audit processes
• Liaise with families, carers, advocacy groups and external agencies
• Participate in operational planning and resource management
• Support staff supervision, performance management and professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Qualification recognised by CORU as a Social Worker
• Current registration with CORU
• Significant post-qualification experience in disability services
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities and complex needs
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience at senior practitioner level
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, disability legislation and HSE policies
• Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills
