Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a compassionate and motivated Staff Nurse (Intellectual Disability) to join its Disability Services team in South Connemara, Co. Galway. This permanent whole-time role offers the opportunity to deliver person-centred nursing care within a community-based disability service.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Promote independence, dignity, and choice through person-centred care planning
• Administer medications and monitor clinical needs in line with best practice
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Support individuals and families with health education and advocacy
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
• Adhere to HIQA standards, policies, and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse – Intellectual Disability with NMBI
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in disability or community-based services (desirable)
• Commitment to person-centred and rights-based care
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Staff Nurse – Intellectual Disability (213T)
• Salary: In line with Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (as updated 1 August 2025)
• Contract: Permanent Whole-time (X1PFT)
