Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is recruiting a Staff Nurse / Enhanced Nurse (Intellectual Disability) to join its services in Ennis, Co. Clare. This permanent, whole-time role offers the opportunity to deliver person-centred nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

This role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is ideal for nurses seeking stability, professional development, and meaningful community-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with professional standards
• Support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve optimal health and wellbeing
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care programmes
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and advocates
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Promote safeguarding, dignity, and rights-based care
• Participate in service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI register (Intellectual Disability division essential)
• Relevant post-registration experience in intellectual disability or community services
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Commitment to person-centred, values-based care
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary in line with Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (Enhanced Nurse – Intellectual Disability), effective from 1 August 2025
