About the Role

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is seeking applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNM2 Grade) – Home Parental Nutrition. This is a permanent whole-time opportunity for a highly motivated nursing professional to join a specialist service supporting patients requiring home parenteral nutrition.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering expert clinical care, supporting patients and families, coordinating multidisciplinary services, and promoting best practice in the management of home parenteral nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing expertise in the area of home parenteral nutrition.
  • Deliver patient-centred care and clinical support to patients and families.
  • Coordinate care pathways and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support education, training, and health promotion initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, quality, and patient safety.
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Relevant clinical experience appropriate to the role.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centred care.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
