About the Role

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is seeking a Health and Social Care Professions (HSCP) Chief Information Officer to lead its data, informatics, and digital strategy across its paediatric health services in Dublin South. This is a permanent, whole-time senior leadership opportunity for an experienced HSCP professional ready to shape how data and information management drive clinical excellence and service improvement for children and young people.

Salary

This post is graded at Physiotherapist Manager in Charge III (Grade Code 3182) and is remunerated on the following scale, based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026:

€90,977 – €100,131 per annum (7-point scale)

This grade does not carry Long Service Increments (LSIs).

Location

This post is based in Dublin South, within the HSE Dublin and South East health region. Children’s Health Ireland operates across multiple paediatric sites in the Dublin area, and the HSCP Chief Information Officer will work across the organisation to align informatics capacity with frontline clinical and therapeutic services.

Children’s Health Ireland is Ireland’s national children’s health service, responsible for delivering acute and specialist paediatric care to children and young people across the country. CHI operates from a number of sites in Dublin and is in the process of developing the new National Children’s Hospital — one of the most significant healthcare infrastructure projects in the history of the State.
