Clayton Hotel Sligo is recruiting a part-time Accommodation Assistant on a casual contract. Working as part of the housekeeping team, you will help keep guest rooms and public areas spotless, welcoming and up to the Dalata Hotel Group standard. This role is ideal for someone with great attention to detail who enjoys working in a friendly, guest-focused hotel environment in Sligo.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors to brand standards
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all public and back-of-house areas
• Replenish towels, linen and guest amenities as required
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to your supervisor
• Follow daily room lists and instructions from the Accommodation Supervisor/Manager
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly
• Ensure trolley and storage areas are kept tidy, well stocked and organised
• Support colleagues in other hotel departments when required
• Adhere to all health and safety, fire safety and hygiene procedures
• Deliver a warm, courteous and professional service to all guests
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards
• Friendly, helpful and guest-focused attitude
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Good time management and ability to work to room cleaning targets
• Physically fit and comfortable with a role that involves standing, bending and lifting
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekdays, weekends and bank holidays
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn new skills
