Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care within the Interventional Neurovascular Radiology service under supervision and mentorship.
- Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic neurovascular procedures ensuring safe, evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and streamline care pathways.
- Develop clinical protocols and contribute to service audits and research initiatives.
- Engage in continuing professional development and fulfil requirements of the Advanced Practice pathway.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with An Bord Altranais (NMBI) with active registration.
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience, including relevant radiology or neurovascular nursing experience.
- Evidence of postgraduate education relevant to advanced practice or commitment to complete same.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership abilities.
- Eligibility to undertake a Master’s in Advanced Practice Nursing (if not already completed).
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
As per the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025), the salary for Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Candidate (General) Grade Code 2272 ranges from €70,725 to €79,872 per annum across six points, depending on experience and incremental progression.
