University Hospital Limerick is recruiting an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist to support maternity, pharmacotherapy and cancer services across the Mid-West. This permanent whole-time post sits within the Department of Pharmacy and contributes to high-impact clinical services across multiple acute hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver advanced specialist pharmacy services in maternity, pharmacotherapy and cancer care (oncology, haematology, aseptic compounding).
• Lead evidence-based medication reviews and clinical interventions.
• Support safe, compliant aseptic production and chemotherapy service workflows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across UHL, UMHL and Croom Hospital.
• Drive quality improvement, audit, research and service development initiatives.
• Provide specialist guidance, education and mentorship to pharmacy colleagues.
• Contribute to policy development, medicines governance and risk management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Postgraduate qualification(s) relevant to advanced specialist practice (maternity, pharmacotherapy, oncology, haematology or aseptic services).
• Significant post-registration clinical pharmacy experience in acute care.
• Expertise in oncology/haematology medicines and aseptic compounding processes.
• Strong leadership, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Evidence of research, audit, service evaluation or quality improvement work.
• Ability to manage complex clinical caseloads and prioritise service demands.
